Anything that increases your chances of developing a stroke or a heart attack also increases your chances of developing Alzheimer’s disease. So the risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease include smoking, being overweight, not exercising, eating a high-fat diet, taking in too many calories, or having high blood pressure or high blood cholesterol levels. Dietary risk factors include not eating enough vegetables; lack of omega-3 fatty acids; and eating too much meat.

Even though these studies on insulin and Alzheimer’s are preliminary, it is a good idea to reduce susceptibility to developing diabetes by markedly reducing your intake of sugar and flour; increasing your intake of fruits, vegetable, whole grains, beans, and nuts; avoiding weight gain and exercising regularly.

Touch someone else in their heartache. Know

Touch someone else in their heartache.

Know thirst before the rose is withered.

See bondage right before you.

Look out toward the horizon

and stand still.

Debate about enlightenment.

Accept only fragments of the words

that rush into your pond

creating rivers

before you even knew that it was raining.

It is not others who don the mask

oh no

It is you and it is I.

The salesman reeks of limitations

yet he is no different from any other warrior.

We all ponder our journey

and long to create an inner circle.

Our dreams should not be mapped

by forces outside our own imagination.

Expectations of flight should not be squandered

because others don’t see our wings.

All the secrets in the world cannot tell you

what you have missed

if you only planted one single minded tree.

Take pause… note a salesman has limitations.

They wear masks that do not show

their words are full of curtains.

Uncovered there is no tune

no whimsical musicians artwork

no fresh affirmations

that lead to new heights of refinement.

We should dance at midnight!

Feel satin on our skin

and culminate our boundaries

with a thousand and one questions.

Exalt the king inside

reproach the sounding dragon

ignore the fact that gifts are squandered

and seek out new ones.

Leave the dance exposed

when all is said and done

there is no wisdom past the mask

if the remnants of the empty salesmen

and his messages are unopened.

Decide that the page you turn

the affirmations you repeat

will be of your own making.

Step past the folded letter

it is not your law.

Reach higher

than where you thought you could barely touch

and light your own candle.

Be SIGNIFICANT to YOU.

You don’t use a signature file,

You don’t use a signature file, you’ve never really thought about it…until you find one of your best contacts just bought the same kind of products you’re selling from a competitor! Not only that, she is very sorry and hopes she didn’t hurt your feelings, but she didn’t know you sold what she wanted!

I’ve seen this happen many times and it could easily have been avoided with a simple signature file. Your signature file could have served to remind her that YOU sell just what she was looking for and, if you had been using one, you would have made the sale.

This is what is meant by “building your brand.”

As a business owner, you want your business to become associated with the products you sell. Ideally you want to build that name until it is synonymous with the types of products and/or services you provide.

It’s never too early to build your brand.

on-Trent (UK) – Mill gates bid to cut parking

Mill gates bid to cut parking

0 Comments | Cheadle Post & Times; Stoke-on-Trent (UK), Jul 14, 2010

Electronic gates are expected to be installed next to an historic mill in a bid to stop unauthorised parking.

Luxury flat builder Bovale claimed parked cars were discouraging potential home owners from making offers for apartments at its Tean Mill complex. A clamping initiative it introduced in May last year in Hall Yard Road – which had been used as a free ad-hoc car park for more than two decades – reduced many unsuspecting drivers to tears.

An application to put up 1.65 metre-high gates at the entrance to its development is recommended for approval by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council tomorrow.

The plan has received five letters of objection, as well as five letters of support.

The gates would be erected to the north east of Hall Meadow, an existing row of four workers’ cottages, which Bovale claims have no private parking provision. Pedestrian access to the cottages would remain unrestricted.

The maximum TMDS single link

The maximum TMDS single link pixel clock rate is 165 MHz.

What is the data rate of a single link HDMI connection:

The maximum pixel clock rate is 165MHz and each of the 3 TMDS video streams carries 10 bits. Therefore the aggregate data rate is 3 x 10 x 165MHz = 4.96Gbps.

How many pins are included in the HDMI connector:

There are 19 individual pins in the HDMI connector. There are 3 pairs of TMDS signals which carry all the digital audio and video signals.

How is the digital Audio signal transported:

The multi-channel audio is time multiplexed into the TMDS data streams.

I loved them so much that I also fed them too much. I was happy to watch them eat. As you can imagine though, the water got dirty very quickly that I had to change it every day.

One day a friend of ours told us that we shouldn’t be changing the water daily since it wouldn’t be good for the fish. Also, in the mean time I had read somewhere that if you wanted to use tap water you should set it aside for a few days to get rid of the chlorine. Therefore, I set aside a bucket of water and changed 3/4 of the water about every 3 days.

I was able to enjoy the goldfish for a few months before one of them got sick and died and the others followed soon after. I was extremely sad and because of that my dad told me I couldn’t buy any more fish.

Governor plans visit to ask about spending priorities

Governor plans visit to ask about spending priorities

Gov. Chris Gregoire

Seeks public input for 2011-13 budget

Gov. Chris Gregoire is inviting the public to help her make tough budget decisions for the next two years during a special public hearing from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Clark Colleges Gaiser Hall.

The hearing, the third of four Gregoire has scheduled around the state, is designed to help her and her budget-writing staff get started on writing a spending plan for the 2011-13 budget cycle.

Even with revenue from new taxes on candy, soda, beer, bottled water and cigarettes approved by the 2010 Legislature, state economists project a budget deficit of about $3 billion by mid- 2011. The new taxes are expected to add $761 million to state coffers by the end of 2011.

Members of a new Committee on Transforming Washingtons Budget, with leaders drawn from across the state, will attend the Vancouver event and listen to citizen comments

Losing that vision, or concluding that

Losing that vision, or concluding that we won?t feel that much better about ourselves, are the reasons we give up and fall back into the relative comfort of settling for just ?okay.?

2. Body versus Mind dominance.

We all wage a lifelong internal battle between our body and our mind. Each is dominant at different stages of development. As infants, we are little more than a collection of sensations. We explore the exciting new world around us through touching everything within reach, tasting everything we can put into our mouths, watching the movements of everything around us, and listening to all the sounds we hear until we eventually learn to imitate them.

As we move into our early school years, we start to concentrate on our minds.

There is no technical reason why the

There is no technical reason why the direction of
recent policy has been to foster more commercial services at the
expense of public service provision. Given that, the solution resides
in looking at the overall policy framework within which UK
broadcasting operates. This would mean rolling out public service
obligations across the sector, in exchange, perhaps for tax or
regulatory concessions. Unless this is done, and unless the BBC is set
on a level playing field with its competitors, it will, like public
service broadcasting in the USA, wither on the vine. Not immediate
death, but death by a thousand minor policy instruments. The Campaign
for Press Broadcasting Freedom therefore considers that the current
framework governing broadcasting in the UK should be changed to place
strong public service obligations on all major providers, so as to
ensure the future of high quality, independent broadcasting and
related services

There should be positive regulation of the media and communications.
The UK’s Communications Bill appears to serve sectional commercial
interests. The Communications Bill states that OFCOM is meant
primarily to promote economic competition in the media. It is designed
to allow as much self- regulation by the media as possible.
